I've enjoyed many a tv show in my day, but none have saddened me with their cancellation as much as Veronica Mars. I was reminded of the show today when I was listening to a mixed CD I had made that had the theme song "We Used to Be Friends" by the Dandy Warhols.
Anyway, Veronica Mars was portrayed by Kristen Bell, a fine actress. The show was high quality and very stellar, but was on the CW and was one of those shows critics raved about, but didn't get high enough ratings. It's a cult classic.
If you have never seen it, I recommend renting the seasons (or buying them!) My husband and I loved it and were devastated when it was cancelled. They gave Kristen the narrator role in Gossip Girl as a consolation prize, and okay, so I love Gossip Girl too, but not nearly as much as I loved my V. Mars!
RIP to one of the best shows EVER!
