Olé & Play!: The Songs of Isabella & Ferdinand Spanish Language Adventures Review

I am a firm believer that we need to teach foreign language to students starting in elementary school.  Why is the United States one of the only countries that feels like it is not important?  I think at a young age children should be exposed to Spanish, French and German and be allowed to choose which one they want to proceed with in middle school and on.
I try to incorporate a little bit of foreign language into my children's vocabulary.  Of course there are popular kid's shows like Dora and  Ni Hao Kai-Lan, but I try to give the French or Spanish words of ones that I know when my child says something such as a number or color or noun.  Most parents aren't able to do this, and that's why programs such as Ole & Play are excellent ways to introduce your children to language learning!  While it was a little advanced for my children, I definitely intend to use it as they progress in age.

An innovative Spanish language school for children in Washington DC joined forces with a few musicians to release an album for kids to help teach the language through music, art and culture. Here are a couple recently released articles related to this subject.
