G.I. Joe A Real American Hero Season 1.1 DVD Review

If you were a child of the 80's like I was, you have to remember the original G.I. Joe series! Remember the action figures? Do you remember bribing your brother to play Barbies by telling him you'd play G.I. Joes in return? No? Just me?

Well, now you can relive your childhood and pass it on to your own children because G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero is now available on DVD! They are starting at the beginning and the first release is Season 1.1 which includes the first 22 episodes. I'll admit that I was not a real fan as a child because I was a girl and it was too manly for me. But my husband loved it and apparently he was stoked because Sgt. Slaughter (of WWF/WWE fame) was a character.

Watching it now, it brings back memories of a lighter time in life and it's fun to reminisce. In terms of content and enjoyment, it's still great, but I definitely feel that it is still going to be more greatly appreciated by boys as girls are more into princesses and that type of stuff, but you might be able to get them to sit through it.

Family Time Factor: Great for nostalgia purposes as a whole family, otherwise more appropriate for boys ages 2-12.

MOTR Grade: B+

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Season 1.1 is available on DVD July 21!!!
