Oh Happy Day CD Review & Giveaway

In a world full of uncertainty, hard times and tragic events, one of the few things that makes me feel truly happy and at peace is listening to music. I have never been a listener of gospel music because it tends to be outdated or hard to get into. Forty years after Edwin Hawkins Singer created a pop hit entitled "Oh Happy Day," a new, inspiring CD has been created that turns classic gospel songs into contemporary tracks utilizing some of today's most popular artists.

I was actually excited to review Oh Happy Day because I love music! I love the way it makes me feel and to me, the best way to relax is taking a break from everything and listening to some good tunes. Plus, I'm not super religious, but wouldn't mind experiencing something new like gospel, but without the fear that it will bore me to tears.

There are eleven tracks on this album. I was able to listen through the whole album without having to skip one! Some were better than others, but you can tell that a lot of thought and effort went into making these tracks as good as can be! My two favorites were "Keep the Faith" and "Presence of the Lord." This album releases in stores today.

Family Time Factor: It's definitely something that you could listen to with your family. Some of the tunes are catchy, there's no worry of inappropriate lyrics, and some of the beats are up tempo and kids can enjoy them.

  9. One of my old time favorites is One by three dog night. But this is an exciting to see this new CD. When I seen Oh Happy Day it reminded me of the original song of the 70's and saw that it is now done by Queen Latifah & Jubilation. It has to sound fantastic.
