Lilo & Stitch: Big Wave Edition Review

Coinciding with the release of their new movie "Bolt," Disney has released a special 2 disc of one of its other "puppy" movies- Lilo & Stitch! Previously only available as a single disc, this new Big Wave Edition is full of special features like deleted scenes, commentary, music videos and games.

Lilo & Stitch is about a Hawaiian girl named Lilo who is being raised by her older sister. Her sister decides to take her to the local pound to buy a puppy. Currently being house there is Stitch- an experimentally created alien from another planet that has escaped to Earth and was run over by a semi, which left him a little dazed.

Lilo choose Stitch as her puppy and since Stitch is trying to avoid being captured, he goes along with the charade. Created for destruction, Stitch finds it hard to be the mellow friend that Lilo wants, but finds himself desperately wanting to fit in.

This has always been one of my favorite Disney movies, yet I think it is grossly underrated! It's fun, it's super adorable and the Elvis music is great! When it was first released, I was so in love with the Stitch character that I bought a talking doll of him off ebay. Now, I let my daughter play with it and we can enjoy this movie together! I'm so glad they are re-releasing it in special edition!

Family Time Factor: This movie is definitely fun and one that I could watch over and over again (and have.) It's funny and can be enjoyed by every age group.

MOTR Grade: A+

Lilo & Stitch: Big Wave Edition releases on DVD March 24th!
