Bolt Review

I absolutely love Disney movies, so I was excited to hear that Bolt was coming to DVD. Sure, I grew up on the princess movies, so they are near and dear to my heart, but with such greats as Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story, I'm always willing to give the new Disney movies a shot.

Bolt is the newest addition to the collection and is about a cute little dog named (of course) Bolt (voiced by John Travolta). He was raised as a star on a tv show where he has super powers, so he does not know that he is a normal dog. His costar is a young girl named Penny (voiced by Miley Cyrus.) Bolt is under the impression that Penny needs his trouble and escapes to try and save her. He ends up being shipped to New York (from Hollywood) and ends up roaming the street. He comes across many interesting characters, who are out to help him on his quest- despite his oddness of thinking he has super powers.

Okay, here's the best part- there's a hamster in the movie!!! Did they write that character in just so I would give them a good review? I don't know, but there's a hamster named Rhino and several cats and the animation is so cute, I want to eat them all up!

The plot is cute, the CGI animation is very well done. Although I can't rank it up there with Toy Story and Monsters, Inc., it was a very good effort on Disney's part!

Family Time Factor
: I actually watched this for the first time with my daughter, my friend and her kids while we were having a play date. Everyone involved enjoyed it, which was excellent because it held all the children's attention and my friend and I were able to enjoy it as well. I definitely think that it is a film that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
